Mental Health America of Southwestern PA announced that Mars resident Susanne Cole, president and CEO of Pressley Ridge, is the recipient of the 2021 Innovations Award for Advocacy.

Cole is an inspiration to Pressley Ridge's nearly 1,100 employees across six states.

Throughout her 30 years with the organization, Cole has used her experience and firsthand knowledge to lead from the heart, with great compassion for the children and families served as well as the staff who are on the front lines.

Since 2002, MHA-SWPA has recognized individuals, organizations and businesses from Southwestern Pennsylvania who are making a difference in the lives of those who experience mental health issues and substance use disorders.

Pressley Ridge provides individuals and families with hope and support through life's challenges.

Each year, 9,000 children and families are strengthened through community-based mental health services, foster care and adoption, specialized education and supportive services for transition-age youth.

Pressley Ridge's more than 70 programs all share a common goal of establishing stable, healthy families and lifelong connections that result in a successful, happy life.
