CRANBERRY TWP — About 7.4 miles of Route 19 in the northern tier of the township will be resurfaced between Monday and November.

The work will be completed from the Allegheny/Butler county line to near Jackson Township, according to PennDOT, and will include the milling, patching, paving, leveling, binder/wearing courses, minor drainage and guide rail upgrades and other miscellaneous construction on 7.4 miles of Route 19.

PennDOT expects short-term impacts to traffic, including single-lane restrictions in much of Cranberry from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., and between North Boundary Road and the northern edge of Cranberry between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The project, contracted to Lindy Paving Inc. of New Galilee, costs more than $8.4 million.
