Scott F. Burns Sr., 61, of Renfrew, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 19, 2021.
Born Dec. 9, 1959, in Waynesburg, he was the son of Marilyn Smith Burns and the late M. Frank Burns, who passed away in 2017.
A man of outstanding character, Scott was caring and attentive to his family and others. He would go out of his way to help anyone at any time.
Scott was the current owner of the family business, State Pipe Services, headquartered in Cranberry Township. In his younger years, he was very involved with his children's sports activities. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed camping and traveling with his family, especially to the beach.
Scott will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 36 years, Valorie Silvester Burns, whom he married on Sept. 8, 1984; his mother, Marilyn Burns of Cranberry Township; his children, Scott F. Burns Jr. (Brittany), William E. Burns (Emma) and Daniel M. Burns, all of Cranberry Township; his brother, David J. Burns, and his sister, Amy D. Orr (Lee), both of Cranberry Township.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Burns; and his nephews, Benjamin and Mark.
Burns Sr. — Friends of Scott F. Burns Sr., who died Friday, March 19, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
