Surrounded by family on Saturday, March 13, 2021, George T. Law, 78, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Clark, passed away.
He was the beloved husband for 56 years to Maryann Law; father of Christin (Bruce) Dadey of Wexford, Michele (Christopher) Chmura of Ohio, and Eric (Jennifer) Law of Hermitage; brother of Charles “Ted” Law, Susan Mooer and the late Joyce Rhodes; grandfather of Liam, Aidan, Kiera, Kayleigh and Declan Dadey, John and Anna Chmura, and Ellis and Ethan Law.
He graduated from Sharon High School in 1960, and shortly after joined the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Boston, where he later met his wife-to-be in the city of Boston.
He worked at Sawhill/AK Steel for 34 years, until he retired in 1998.
He served as the chief of the Clark Volunteer Fire Department for several years.
George enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, boating, Pittsburgh sports, and spending time with his family.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, leadership, and ability to make the best of every situation.
LAW — Friends of George T. Law, who died Saturday, March 13, 2021, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Simons Funeral Home, 7720 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
