Carolyn “Jill” Gaghan, 80, of Cranberry Township passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, while under the care of UPMC Cranberry Place.
Born March 17, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Dorod and Mable Gregory Dorod.
Jill was a loving mother, who enjoyed assisting her boys when they were in marching band. After she became a grandmother, she showered her grandchildren with affection.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and cheering on the Steelers.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Gregory Gaghan and his wife, Lori, and Steven Gaghan and his wife, Shannon; her grandchildren, Kyle, Benjamin, Molly, Jillian, Coilin, David (Payton) and Michael; her sister, Nancy Garrett and her husband, Malcolm; her brother-in-law, Steve Adams; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Dorod; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne; and her brother, Lawrence.
GAGHAN — Friends of Carolyn “Jill” Gaghan, who died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon Thursday at Schulte & Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio.
Following the service, Jill will be laid to rest at Knollwood Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to First Presbyterian Church of Willoughby, 4785 Shankland Road, Willoughby, OH 44094.
