Cranberry Community Uniting People (CUP) has been purchasing and delivering gifts for struggling families in need throughout the Cranberry Township, Evans City and Zelienople areas.

A host of area families in need received Christmas gifts ranging from winter coats, hats, gloves, clothing, toys and appliances from the Cranberry CUP volunteer organization.

Some of the holiday gifts were distributed by Cranberry CUP volunteers and through the Seneca Valley School District.

The Cranberry CUP has been helping neighbors in need with Christmas gifts during the holiday season for almost two decades. It is a community-oriented, volunteer-managed, nonprofit organization.

It has a 21-year track record in supporting local families and individuals in need because of illness or life-changing circumstances, and provides scholarships and community support.

Annually, the Cranberry CUP identifies an inspirational individual or family from the community to rally around and support by raising funds through the annual softball tournament, golf tournaments and generous business sponsors and foundations.

Because of COVID-19, all of this year's fundraising events were canceled. Donations are needed in order to continue to help community members. Corporate or individual donations may be made at cranberrycup.org.

Anyone who knows an individual or family in need to nominate as the 2021 inspirational family can submit a nomination form at cranberrycup.org.
