Teresa Marie Furda of New Sewickley Township passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice.
She was born Jan. 30, 1927, in Irvington, N.J., and was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Borne) Furda.
Teresa was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
Before moving to Pennsylvania, she worked for 16 years at Central Cadillac in Newark, N.J., as a secretary in the sales department. She retired from Bell Atlantic in New Jersey, in 1992, after 21 years working as both a secretary and then a budget analyst in the Network Engineering Department.
Teresa enjoyed reading, shopping, playing cards and visiting with friends. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Teresa will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her nephew, Barry (Jill) Hixson; a grandnephew, Joshua Hixson; two grandnieces, Jessica (Jonathan) Cristalli and JoEllyn Hixson; and her great-grandniece, Jaycie Cristalli.
Teresa was also loved and known as “Aunt Teri,” to so many other friends and family members throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Furda; and her sister, Anne Hixson.
FURDA — Friends of Teresa Marie Furda, who died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, were received from 11 a.m. until the time of the blessing service at 1 p.m. Monday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
Teresa was laid to rest in the mausoleum at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Gibsonia.
