After a successful raffle designed to help local businesses, the Harmony Museum is again offering a chance to win gift cards to restaurants in Harmony, Jackson Township and Zelienople.

According to Rodney Gasch, museum president, the reaction to the previous raffle — held between April 17 and May 31 and won by a Pittsburgh resident — was the impetus for the second raffle. He said the museum sold “a couple thousand” raffle tickets to the last one.

“It worked very well and the response was overwhelming,” Gasch said. “I think in these times people want to think about having a good time and being able to go out again.”

In this new raffle — which began Monday, will continue through July 13 and will have a drawing July 15 — there will also be a second-place prize. That’s a new addition. The first-place winner will receive 10 $50 cards, while a second-place winner gets three $50 cards.

“With more restaurants being open this time, we have 13 restaurants that we have gift cards for,” Gasch said. “Since we didn’t want to pick which 10 would be the grand prize, we will have a drawing for which 10 will be the grand prize and which three would be the second prize.”

The restaurants include The Harmony Inn, Lagerhaus Bakery, Two Fraus Bakery and Wunderbar Coffee & Crepes in Harmony; The Enchanted Olive and Tin Man Sweets in Jackson Township; and Burgh’ers Brewing, Della Terra, Goodfello’s, Kaufman Tavern, ShuBrew, Spring & Main Cafe and the Strand Theater in Zelienople.

Gasch said the raffle also helps support the museum, which has seen a significant drop in revenue due to a lack of facility rentals and tours as a result of state-mandated coronavirus restrictions.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. They are available on the museum’s website at
