Rep. Lee James, R-64th, will offer veterans affairs outreach hours in his Seneca office, located at 3220 State Route 257, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 21.

An accredited field service officer from the American Legion Department of Pennsylvania will be available to assist with a number of issues.

The field service officer will help veterans file VA claims for disability compensation, disability increase and rating decision appeals, veteran or surviving spouse pensions, burial and death benefits, addition of dependents, dependency and indemnity compensation, and other benefits.

James said he encourages Blue Water Navy veterans especially to participate in the event. Last summer, the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019 was signed into law. It extends a presumption of herbicide exposure to Blue Water Navy veterans who served in Vietnam and the offshore waters.

Those interested in attending should call 814-677-6413.
