VA town hall slated in Cranberry Twp.

CRANBERRY TWP — VA Butler Healthcare will host a town-hall meeting at 5 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Cranberry Township VA Clinic.

Updates are planned on topics such as the MISSION Act, access, budget, performance and current VA Butler events.

The town hall will also provide a forum for feedback on VA operations. Staff will be on-hand to listen to veterans and their families and answer questions.

The town hall is one of a series being hosted to provide local veterans with information about the VA Butler Healthcare system.

Time change OK'd for E.C. Council

EVANS CITY — Starting next year, borough council will meet an hour later in an effort to attract more public input at the meetings.

At its Monday meeting, Evans City council agreed to move the meeting times for 2020 to 7 p.m., from 6 p.m.

At the August and September meetings, residents said the meeting times prevent residents with full-time jobs from attending. Resident Joanne Ramsden said at the August meeting that some in the community believe council did not want residents to observe or comment at the meetings.

Council will continue to meet the first Monday of the month with the later start time.
