ADAMS TWP — Mars Area School Board approved the following items during a special meeting Aug. 26:

- The resignations of Kimberly Spencer (secretary), Michelle Good (paraprofessional), Amy Gloeckner (paraprofessional) and Danica Cannon (special education teacher)

- Daleen Paulsen as a secretary for Mars Area Primary Center, effective immediately

- Sheela Miller as a special-education teacher at a Step 1 master's salary

- Austin Pengilly as woodwind instructor with a stipend of $2,849

- Leah Golden as a special-education teacher at a Step 1 bachelor's salary

- David Fries and Hank Cacurak as full-time district police officers at rates of $24 an hour

- Kimberly Padovani as a special-education teacher at a Step 1 bachelor's salary

- Kristin Stash as a health and physical education teacher at a Step 1 master's salary

- Tylor Takacs as a paraprofessional

- Bethannie McMichael as a paraprofessional

- Madison Dalbow as a long-term substitute teacher for kindergarten teacher Amy Zollner

- An enrollment contract with The University School

- A revised agreement with The Watson Institute

- A placement agreement with Butler Area School District

- A letter agreement with Allegheny Intermediate Unit for hearing support services

- Mars Lady Planet Softball Boosters, Mars Takedown Club and Mars Swimming & Diving Boosters as school-affiliated organizations

- Posting revised Policy 618.1 (athletic fund)

- Using $30,104 from the Building Fund for new furniture for the Mars Area Middle School library

- A $2,910 donation from Bonnie Weaver to buy a 3D printer for Mars Area Centennial School

- A student taking an online course for this school year

- Two high school students missing more than 10 days for a sports event.
