Hoop camp set for Graham Park

CRANBERRY TWP — Graham Park will host a basketball camp for boys and girls entering grades 3-9.

It will take place 9 to 11:30 a.m., Aug. 5-8.

The camp will feature an advanced practice setting which will enhance and develop skills at an age-appropriate level.

Greg Cercone, national shooting expert, will lead the offensive side while working with campers on shooting fundamentals.

Current La Roche University assistant men's coach Victor Giannotta, who has 28 years of experience in coaching high school basketball, will drill the defense individually and progress toward an intense team concept.

Cost is $115.

Charity golf outing Monday

South Butler County Meals on Wheels will hold its 22nd annual golf outing Monday at Conley Resort.

Foursomes, both men and women, are needed for the 18-hole, best-ball event, which will begin at 9 a.m.

Golfers will receive donuts and a cart at the start and food at the turn. A buffet and awards will cap the day.

Lowest-score foursome prizes are $360, $200 and a Conley Resort golf foursome voucher. Putting and chipping contests will also be featured.

Cost per golfer is $90, $360 for a foursome. Hole sponsorships are available at $100, $250, and $1,000. Sponsors receive a sign on a hole and mention on the South Butler Meals on Wheels website.

This is the only fundraiser held by the organization, which is non-profit and accepts no government funding.
