Two motorists gave conflicting accounts after a motorist was injured when his SUV collided with a flatbed truck in Evans City Road by the Interstate 79 overpass in Jackson Township around 10 a.m. Thursday.
Before responders transported the injured man for treatment, police said each of the vehicles' drivers disagreed about how the crash occurred.
The driver of the SUV claimed that the flatbed’s driver tried to make a u-turn, which led to the collision in which he was injured.
Meanwhile, the flatbed’s driver said that the road's lanes merged at that point and that any sudden movements were his efforts to get out of the way of the SUV.
With no witnesses to corroborate either account, police said there was little they could do to investigate further.
Responders cleared the scene by 10:20 a.m.
