Ethel E. Schrecengost, 96, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Upper St. Clair, and New Port Richey, Fla., passed away peacefully on Friday while under the care of Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community where she was a resident. She was born on Aug. 25, 1922, in Pittsburgh to the late Finley Burns and Margaret Fulton Burns. Ethel loved to read, crochet and volunteer at the Cranberry Public Library. Ethel was the wife of the late Robert Schrecengost; mother of Joyce Dickman of Cranberry Township, the late Robert D. (Karen) Schrecengost and the late David (Eileen) Schrecengost; grandmother of six and great-grandmother of eight; and sister of Carol Styslinger of Gaithersburg, Md. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

She will be laid to rest at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills, Pa.
