“Your Alien” is based on a book by Tammy Sauer about a stranded alien who strikes up a friendship with the boy who finds him.

Seneca Valley Intermediate High School will host a children’s theater show in January.

The 49th season of the Citizens Bank Children’s Theater Series will feature “Your Alien” at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 at the school in Jackson Township.

Arts Power from the United States presents “Your Alien,” based on the book by Tammy Sauer, about a stranded alien who strikes up a friendship with the boy who finds him.

They go to school and have loads of fun together, but as evening approaches, the alien grows homesick. Will the boy be able to figure out how to help his new friend? This new musical shows how the power of true friendship can last a lifetime.

This event is recommended for children age 3 and older. The show features acting, music and movement. The theater will be darkened with light coming from the stage.

Tickets are $12 for the 55-minute show.

The play also will be presented at the Byham Theater in Pittsburgh and Marshall Middle School in Wexford, among other sites.
