MARS - Due to expected inclement weather, Santa's visit to the borough and the lighting of the Christmas tree will be delayed.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, the event has been moved to 3:30to 5 p.m. on Sunday in downtown Mars. It will feature Santa Claus' arrival to town with Mrs. Claus. The duo will also light the borough's Christmas tree.

Light refreshments will be served and children will be able to meet Santa beginning at 3:30. The tree lighting takes place at 5 p.m.

There will be no parade this year, as construction on Route 228 has increased traffic through the borough, and officials wanted to ensure safety.
