SV graduate Brown shining at JMU

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Seneca Valley graduate Jordan Brown is a senior safety on the James Madison University football team and leads the squad with five interceptions.

Brown is second on the team with 45 tackles. The Dukes (9-0) have won 21 consecutive games.

Mars grad Dailey All-AMCC again

BRADFORD — Mars graduate and Pitt-Bradford senior women’s soccer goalkeeper Sarah Dailey has been named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference second team.

This is Dailey’s fourth consecutive All-AMCC honor. She started all 18 of her team’s games, made 109 saves, had a 1.29 goals-against average and posted six shutouts this season.

SV hosting girls hoop clinics

JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley girls basketball program is offering its Little Dribblers, In-House and Travel program to prospective players.

The Little Dribblers program introduces fundamentals of basketball to girls in kindergarten through second grade. Fee is $50 and the program takes place on Saturday afternoons in January at Haine Middle School.

Registration deadline is Dec. 22.

The In-House and Travel program costs $90 and also takes place at Haine Middle School. An in-house coaching clinic will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in the Seneca Valley High School gymnasium.

Games begin Dec. 2.

Run/walk event on Thanksgiving

ELLWOOD CITY — The 22nd Annual Gobbler’s Gallop, a 10K run and 5K run/walk event, will be held Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 23, at Riverside High School.

Start and finish line will be on the high school track.

Registration will be held at the kindergarten center.

The 10K run will begin at 9 a.m., 5K run at 10:15 a.m. and the 5K walk anytime between 9-11 a.m.
