Mars fall sign-ups are now open

ADAMS TWP — Sign-ups are open for Mars students in grades 7-12 interested in playing a fall sport.

Parents must do online registration at for students participating in sports at Mars High School and middle school.

Mars also has a $100 athletic participation fee per student per sport. Checks should be turned in with physical forms to the nurse’s office.

Raider Pride Camp set

JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley Raider Pride Camp, a football camp put on by the Raider varsity team and coaches, takes place from 9 a.m. to noon July 18 at NexTier Stadium.

The camp is for students entering 3rd through 8th grade. Fee is $25 and includes a T-shirt and snacks.

Campers are asked to wear shorts along with football cleats or tennis shoes. Visit to register or for additional information.

SV golf outing at Oakview

The Seneca Valley Black and Blue Alumni Golf Outing takes place Aug. 12 at Oakview Golf Club.

The event is sponsored by the Seneca Valley Football Boosters and is open to anyone. Fee for the four-person scramble is $100 per person or $400 for a foursome.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Prizes, lunch and dinner are included with the entry fee.

Tennis camps begin this month

Starting this month, Cranberry Township will offer a summer tennis program which includes both instructional clinics and camps grouped by age at the township’s Community Park tennis courts. Four separate clinics, each with three weekly one-hour sessions, will be offered for youths ages 5-8, 7-12, 11-15 and anyone 16 or older.

Three-session Seneca Valley tennis camps for elementary, middle school and high school students will be offered Tuesdays through Thursdays. Times vary and are detailed on the township’s website. Each camp and clinic carries a program fee of $75 for township residents or $78 for non-residents. Online registration is available at either, by phone at 724-779-4FUN (4386), or in person at the Parks & Recreation Customer Service Desk in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. Fees are payable at the time of registration.
