County hoopsters in Cager Classic NATRONA HEIGHTS — Numerous Butler County basketball players will be participating in the 21st annual A-K Cager Classic All-Star Game March 25 at Highlands High School. Freeport’s Kim Mixon, Kevin Lynch and Evan Schaffhauser; Mars’ Nicole McCloud and Ben Perdziola; and Knoch’s Carly Burdett, Austin Hannes and Mac Christy will be playing. The girls game begins at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Eagle County seeking teams The Eagle County baseball league is in search of new players and teams for its 2017 season, which begins in May. The adult league currently has six teams — Mars, Mars II, Zelienople, Cranberry Township, Pine-Richland and the Mars Sliders. Charity golf event coming in June PENN TWP — The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau is announcing the fourth annual Butler County Bankers Golf Challenge, set for June 23 at Butler Country Club. Banks and credit unions are invited to participate with two teams of four. Each team may consist of two bank employees and two guests. All proceeds from the event will be donated to a Butler County charity of the winning team’s choice. Cost is $1,000 per bank. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m., golfing at 9 a.m.
