ERIE — A New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, man died Aug. 25 from injuries he suffered when his motorcycle collided Aug. 8 with a vehicle driven by a retired police officer who is accused of drunken driving.

Wayne Schmuck, 53, of Glen Rape Road, just outside Jackson Township, died at Hamot Medical Center about 5 p.m. Aug. 25, according to the Erie County coroner's office.
Coroner Lyell Cook said Schmuck died from head injuries.
A passenger on Schmuck's motorcycle, Sandra Novak, 52, of Zelienople suffered severe injuries in the crash, but her present condition was unknown.
The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the intersection of Sterrettania and Millfair roads on the Millcreek-McKean Township line.
According to state police, Fred Munch, 56, of Erie, a retired Millcreek police officer, apparently pulled his truck into the path of Schmuck's motorcycle, which was heading south on Millfair Road. The motorcycle struck the passenger's side of the truck.
Munch was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and other traffic citations.
