WARRENDALE — Warrendale-based Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation raised $55,000 during its 18th annual golf outing on Aug. 9 at the Olde Stonewall Golf Club in Ellwood City.

The event was helped by two former Pittsburgh athletes, L.C. Greenwood and Kent Tekulve. BBL Fleet took top honors with an impressive 15 below par score of 55.
The proceeds will support the mission of Accessible Dental Services to provide high quality, compassionate, affordable dental care to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. All of the proceeds from this event, as in the past two years, will go directly to Accessible Dental Services' capital fund to assist with maintaining the mobile dental unit during its first year of operation.
Since its inception, the Foundation has expanded its locations and is now providing services in Murrysville, Greentree, Uniontown and Rochester Township. Accessible Dental Services is now providing comprehensive and compassionate care to more than 700 intellectually- and developmentally-disabled people from 50 agencies and more than 125 families in Western Pennsylvania. With the addition of the mobile unit, it will be expanding service across Pennsylvania.
"We are extremely grateful to all our corporate sponsors who have contributed so generously to improve access to dental care for people with disabilities," said Rick Senft, CEO and President of Passavant Memorial Homes. "It has been an extraordinary demonstration of commitment and support to the ADS mission."
Corporate event sponsors for the 2010 Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation golf outing were Fox Rothschild, Horizon Information Systems, LFG and Moret Construction. Many other local businesses and organizations supported the event with a variety of sponsorship levels, volunteer efforts and donations.
