FORWARD TWP — A 20-year-old Evans City man will face a hearing next month on charges that he sexually assaulted a girl over a several-year period that started when she was in the second grade.

Trevor S. VanDyke, who is free on $50,000 bail, is charged with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child and unlawful contact with a minor.
He also is charged with statutory sexual assault and indecent assault.
Police arrested VanDyke after he allegedly confessed Aug. 18 to sexually assaulting the girl in the basement of a Mars-Evans City Road home in Forward Township.
The girl, who is now 14, claimed the defendant repeatedly assaulted her between 2003 and 2007.
A preliminary hearing has not yet been set.
