CRANBERRY TWP — A car/truck accident Monday morning snarled rush hour traffic and blocked two northbound lanes on Route 19 near Rowan Road.

Township police Monday afternoon still were not sure how the accident happened, but confirmed that a box truck and a smaller vehicle were involved.
Lt. Kevin Meyer said he would not release the names of the victims because relatives hadn't been notified, although he said the woman driving the car was evacuated by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.
As of Monday, Meyer said that driver was in critical condition. He said the man driving the box truck was not injured.
Fire departments, including Zelienople and Marshall Township, also responded to the accident.
