This is the latest in a series of profiles of mayors who answered an Eagle questionnaire. QUESTION: When were you first elected mayor: WAMSLEY: November QUESTION: Why did you decide you wanted to be mayor? WAMSLEY: No response. QUESTION: What is the best aspect about being mayor? WAMSLEY:I have just recently been elected. QUESTION: What is the worst aspect about being mayor? WAMSLEY: No response. QUESTION: What impact do state and federal regulations and laws have on what you can do as mayor? WAMSLEY: To make sure that state and federal regulations are done for the interest of Valencia. QUESTION: What is something a mayor does that the public might not know about? WAMSLEY: No response. QUESTION: As a first-time mayor, what do you want to accomplish as mayor? WAMSLEY: No response. QUESTION: If you could change one thing about the role as mayor, what would that be? WAMSLEY: No response. QUESTION:What do you see in the future for your community, and how as mayor can you help influence that future? WAMSLEY: I have lived in Valencia for 51 years. My husband and I raised our three children here. I am very passionate for our little town. It is near and dear to my heart. It is a nice town to raise children and also a wonderful town for senior citizens to live. I see positive things in the future for our community. We have a wonderful Volunteer Fire Department, two great churches and the historical society, which everyone works together on for the good of the town.
