No one was injured in a car fire Thursday morning along the northbound lane of Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Three fire companies responded to the call. Matt Coyner, Harmony Fire District captain, said the call came in at 10:12 a.m. Harmony Fire District was out on another call at the time, but was joined at the scene by responders from Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company and Adams Area Fire District. Coyner said the fire, which started in the engine block, was under control within 10 or 12 minutes. The female driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and was out of the car when first responders arrived.
